The SRA has published its guidance about the costs information law firms must put on their websites from 6 December. This includes templates for the various different practice areas affected.
Some firms have found the templates less helpful than they had hoped. The probate template in particular has attracted some criticism. You are not bound to follow the SRA’s suggestions, so long as you cover everything specified in the rules.
You may gain a real marketing advantage if you can have simple and clear costs examples, so it is worth spending time on this.
We have sent subscribers suggestions as to how to proceed.
